The Experience
This 4 Days and 3 Nights journey blends Kyrgyz nomad life with Issyk-Kul’s desert-like canyons and quiet beaches. You’ll climb to Son-Kul (3,016 m), sleep in warm yurts under an immense sky, and meet a traditional eagle hunter on the lake’s south shore. Distances are comfortable; the focus is culture, scenery, and simple outdoor time.
Facilities
Accommodation mixes yurt camps (rustic, stove-heated, shared facilities) and family-run guesthouses with private rooms. Hot dinners and breakfasts are included; road snacks + water are provided during drives. Electricity at yurts is limited (power banks recommended).
Activity
Expect easy walks at Son-Kul and Skazka Canyon, cultural visits, an eagle-hunter show, and optional horseback riding. Evenings are for tea, local music, and stargazing far from city lights.

Your guide meets you at Manas Airport or your Bishkek address. After a short city refresh we drive across the fertile Chui Valley to the 11th-century Burana Tower, the last remnant of medieval Balasagun. Climb the tower for views of the valley (optional) and visit the small museum with Turkic balbal stone markers.
We continue through Boom Gorge to the foothill villages of Kochkor or Kyzart (choice depends on season/road). Time permitting, drop by a local felt-carpet (shyrdak) workshop to see how nomad patterns are made. Easy evening walk, briefing for the mountain day ahead, and dinner with a local family.
